As a Colorado Proud ™ small business, supporting local organizations that work hard to make our communities kinder & more inclusive is a must for us. Every quarter, we donate a portion of our sales to various nonprofits in the Denver Metropolitan Area. When sourcing produce to craft our kombucha, we look to support local farmers here in Colorado when we can as our flavors often reflect the seasons.
We strive to be a zero-waste operation with much of our waste being composted by Compost Colorado. We offer a bottle refill program to minimize glass waste & use compostable materials out at our farmers’ markets. We use reusable, insulated delivery bags & our deliveries are made utilizing a route-optimizing software to limit CO2 emissions.
3rd Bird started as a way to alleviate the GI & sensory processing challenges stemming from autism that are faced by our founder’s son. We are intentional with the flavors we put together as each ingredient addresses an underlying health issue a child on the spectrum may face. We brew to order using only organic, whole fruits & herbs & our kombucha is bottled just days prior to taking flight.
